How to Reset the Admin password?

I just realized that I lost the Admin password and I need a way to access the system, with my Admin credentials.

And to change from the default after you have reset it:

 splunk edit user admin -password <New_Splunk_Admin_Password> -role admin -auth admin:changeme

bmunson: That assumes the password was admin:changeme. If you don't already know the password, it doesn't work.  show more...

Thanks "amielke ". , I had a same problem like chippysplunk.
finally , i changed my password in user.seed.conf file as below :

  [user_info]
  USERNAME = admin
  PASSWORD = myPassword
